# BDT as a governance token

BDT(BaseX DAO Token) acts as a way to help the protocol to accumulate its growth with real treasury value which is shared by all the BDT holders. BDT holders will be able to get a share of the protocol fees, governance rights to determine every decision of the protocol and as well hold and earn a mix portfolio of tokens within the treasury which is redeemable.
